Darts of Fury
Darts of fury was the first project I worked on. There were only two of us in the art team so both shared the work and touched most aspects of the game. Below are a few of my favourites things I got to work on during the project:
Below are screenshots of UI, 2D and 3D elements I'm most proud of.
- I was in charge of creating the 3D dart game assets, this included 70 different models of points, barrels, shafts and flights! I was also tasked to create the textures for these darts, this included hundreds of designs ranging from common all the way to premium holographic flights. I was especially proud of the holographic flights as I was able to create the mat-cap for these!
- I created the League pack UI and 3D box. It was crucial to get the design right for this to showcase everything the player can purchase in the game. The packs are themed to bird leagues and are also used for our seasonal promotions.
- We introduced a new game mode called "Golden Throw" and "Free throw", I was in charge of creating the in game graphics for this and all the promotional UI.
- As seasons are a great way of theming a game I was tasked to create all seasonal content, including UI changes and also in game graphics. We can now switch seasons on and off and have one per month.
- We were one of the first games to include a subscription service. This was quite a difficult task as it had never been done before. I was tasked to create three subscription levels and all surrounding UI for our VIP subscription service. At the time Apple used my UI layout as a prime example for other games on their Design guidelines.
