Second year Group project
I pitched the story of 'Zoe', meaning: life, and got chosen to direct the 1 minute short. As a director I really had to be aware of the pipeline and make sure my team was on board at all times. It was a real struggle at times but allowed me to learn so much of the group/ pipeline process.
I also did the pre-pro, UVing/ Texturing, Animation, Rendering and Compositing.

During the weeks of the project the final piece didn't change from the original pitch, however it linked very much to my own feelings at the time which really added to its name of 'Zoe'. Not forecasting the struggles of my first ever group project, I began with a very positive outlook, just as our main character in the short. There were troubles along the way, I think everyone studying or in a CG profession would understand, such as renders failing and having such a time limit. When the short was finally done I could appreciate how much effort went into this, and like the giant creates his beautiful flower, I feel like my group managed to pull it off and create our own "Flower".
